We’d all love a tick next to our name on Instagram, but how do you actually go about getting one?
So, what does a blue tick on Instagram actually mean? It basically means Instagram has confirmed that an account is the authentic presence of the public figure, celebrity or global brand it represents. Everyone can now apply for a blue Instagram tick. It wasn’t always the case, however, all Instagram accounts can now apply to be verified! This blog post will explain the benefits of getting your page verified and how to go about getting that blue tick on your Instagram page.
What are the benefits?
A blue tick is a great way to build trust and let people know that your account is really you. Celebrities often get people impersonating them and this blue tick means you will be seen as the real person or organisation.
There is not guarantee that Instagram will verify your account, however, if you do get approved it could be really beneficial to you and your Business!
How to get verified on Instagram
- Head to your Instagram profile
- Click on menu in the top right hand corner
- Click settings in the bottom right
- Click on ‘request verification’
- You will need to complete all the details and upload a photograph of your ID.
