The Engine of Your Marketing Activity-Your Contact Management System

A CMS is essentially a clever database, which organises you, your business and your marketing.

 

One of the first things I usually do when I start working with a new client is Develop a Marketing Plan for the business.

 

The second thing I do (if it is not in place already) is set up a professional Contact Management System-it is that important!

 

If you don’t have a fully-functioning, integrated Contact Management System (CMS) you are really doing your marketing with one hand tied behind your back.

I couldn’t run my business without it and neither could most of my clients.

 

There are a range of available systems out there-some based on your computer/server and some cloud-based.  Act, Infusionsoft are a couple of well-known systems but there are plenty of others out there as well.

 

As well as organising your sales and marketing, your CMS these days need to organise you email broadcasting, lead generation etc in one integrated system-you don’t want lots of databases all over the place which will end up impossible to co-ordinate and update.

 

So make sure that your Contact Management System is fully integrated with your email marketing, lead generation etc.
