Sometimes I get the response ‘it is a brochure online’
This is a question I deliberately ask new clients, or those attending our hugely successful ‘Develop a Marketing Plan in a Day’ Seminars to challenge them into thinking about the marketing they are doing and the money they are spending on their marketing.
Sometimes I get the response ‘it is a brochure online’. Whilst this can be a valid reason for a website, quite often it is a bit of a kop out, along the lines of ‘well I have got a website now-I can put a tick against that box’.
Other times I get the quite honest response that “everyone else has one, not quite sure what it is there for, but I knew I needed one”.
Of course there a other occasions where the website is performing extremely well and generating business for the client.
Either way though, if you are investing time and money in developing and maintaining a website, in most situations it needs to be generating Leads, enquiries and sales.
Spend a bit of time reviewing your own website and be clear about what your website is for and set objectives about what you want it to achieve.
