Facebook have introduced an easier way for people to Recommend your Business.
I’m sure you’re aware that Facebook often makes small changes to Business Pages, however, sometimes these small changes can make a real difference to your Business Page and your business. Reviews are important for every business nowadays and one in three people on Facebook use the platform to look for recommendations and reviews.
One of Facebook’s latest changes is Facebook Recommendations. You will be used to heading to a Business Page and giving a business a review based on a 5-star scale, as to how good they are and the experience you have had with them. This has now changed. Customers will now simply answer whether they recommend your business with a “Yes” or “No”. Facebook will then ask the customer ‘why’ and if they want to add any certain ‘tags’ such as ‘great service’, ‘open late’, ‘free wifi’ etc.
Facebook are also making it easier for people to recommend your business by asking people who tag your business in a photo or post, if they want to publicly recommend your business.
What about my existing reviews? Not to worry, Facebook will still keep your existing reviews on your page as recommendations.
In the past Facebook reviews have been very tricky to get rid of if you feel the review is unfair and Facebook have worked on this as well by making it easier to report content in recommendations that is fraudulent, spam or ‘paid for’.
